Heavy Duty Innovations, LLC (HDI) was launched in 2005 with a focus on safety and innovation for the transport industry. HDI markets and sells its patented line of Chassis Grabber mounting brackets through authorized distributors, resellers and OEMs. Chassis Grabbers allow any type of equipment to be mounted to Class 8 truck frames without drilling holes in the frame. Chassis Grabbers are safer than drilling, save up to 70 percent of installation labor, allow easy adjustments to equipment location and increase truck resale value.
HDI sells its patented line of pump systems, which enable the safe loading and unloading of hazardous liquids for the petroleum and crude oil transport markets, through an exclusive licensing agreement with PT Coupling Company, www.ptcoupling.com.
How They Work
Chassis Grabber mounting brackets install securely onto almost any Class 8 truck frame using only a wrench. Any type of equipment can then be bolted to the Chassis Grabber mounting holes and slots. Chassis Grabbers adjust to fit most Class 8 truck frames using a set of urethane inserts to fit a wide range of frame web sizes.
Applications
Toolboxes

Hydraulic coolers
Equipment that would typically mount directly to the truck frame now bolts to the Chassis Grabbers extending past huck bolts and providing routing space for hydraulic hoses. Download Hydraulic Cooler Application Note.
APU
Chassis Grabbers can be used to mount a wide range of Auxiliary Power Units (APU) without drilling the frame.
Chain holders
Use a pair of Chassis Grabbers to mount Chain Holders. Easy install and removal each season without drilling holes.
